Safi Suites

Accra, Ghana

Our newest project, Safi Suites, is a Boutique Hotel and Serviced Residences – a mixed-use development and the first of its kind in Tema, Ghana. Safi Suites will cater to a wide range of market segments such as corporate solo travellers, leisure tourists and long-stay apartment guests. The hotel also will provide a unique food, beverage and wellness offering to local Ghanaians. Index Hotels is responsible for the conceptualisation, design, and layout as well as overseeing the execution thereof.

Index Hotels were contracted with the task of transforming an already existing structure – intended as apartment blocks – into a high-end, multifaceted hotel with a gym, spa, open-air yoga studio, multiple restaurants, and rooftop bar. We approached the project by first distinguishing between the changeable and unchangeable aspects of the existing structures and adapted our vision according to the unalterable frame of the building. The design elements were carefully selected according to the project’s specific needs and to harmonise with the environment to create a well-rounded Boutique Hotel and Residences. The colours, materials, and architecture choices complement Ghanaian aesthetics while remaining trendy, luxurious, and innovative. The exceptional nature of the project led to creative problem-solving opportunities such as transforming an unused space in the hotel into a beautiful visual art museum.

With the success of Index Hotel’s other projects in Ghana (such as Fiesta Royale and Fiesta Residence in Accra), we are excited to create and manage Tema’s soon-to-be most sought-after hotel.
